Expo 2025 Osaka | Handing over the “Styrian Paravent”
On June 19th, Tom had the honor of officially presenting his Styrian Paravent as a symbol of friendship between Styria and Osaka during the Austrian celebration at Expo 2025.
The artwork was ceremoniously handed over to the Osaka University of the Arts, where it now found its permanent home.
A moment that truly moved him was a statement by Dr. Tsukamoto, Vice President of the University:
“When Osaka hosts another Expo in 55 years, Tom Lohner’s Paravent will once again be shown – as a piece of cultural heritage.”
Art remains and with it, the bridge between two cultures.
